We are excited to have you become a part of WMCU! We are committed to working with you to make this change as seamless as possible.

Here are a few important dates pertaining to the merger. Our merger date was April 1, 2022; the conversion date of your account(s) and account number(s) will be the weekend of May 14, 2022.

West Michigan Credit Union uses the same data processing system as Western Districts Members Credit Union. Therefore, you will notice that statements, e-statements, teller receipts, checks, online banking, and the mobile app will be similar in appearance. We are also excited to continue having the same friendly faces you are familiar with remain at our new branches.

IMPORTANT MERGER UPDATES:

Debit Cards, Credit Cards, and ATM Cards

To kick off the conversion process, all debit cards, credit cards, and ATM cards will default to their offline limits in the afternoon of Friday, May 13, 2022. Having all cards defaulted to offline limits means that your transactions may be limited. This will allow us to transfer cards to a singular system. Once the conversion period is completed on Monday, May 16, 2022, your regular limits will be restored on all of your debit, credit, and ATM cards.

 

Audio Banking, Text Banking, Online Banking, and Mobile App

To facilitate the final phase of the merger, CU*Talk/Audio Banking, Text Banking, Online Banking, and the Mobile App will not be available beginning the morning of Saturday, May 14, 2022. Once the process is complete, the morning of Sunday, May 15, 2022, you will be able to access these services through West Michigan Credit Union ONLY.

CU*Talk/Audio Banking:
To use West Michigan Credit Union's CU*Talk (Audio Banking), you will now need to call 1(866) 267-4729.

To access your account in CU*Talk, you will need your new account number and the last 4 digits of your social security number. After activating your CU*Talk account with WMCU, you will be able to create a PIN for easier access. For additional assistance, contact your local branch.

Text Banking:
To learn more about West Michigan Credit Union's text banking and how to enroll, visit WestMichiganCreditUnion.com/Text-Banking.

Online Banking:
Upon the completion of the merger on May 15, 2022, all Online Banking usage will be through a singular platform. Upon logging into Online Banking for the first time, your username will be your new account number and your password will be the last 4 digits of your social security number.

After activating your account, you will be asked to change your password and set three security questions to further protect your account(s).

Mobile App:
After the completion of the conversion on Sunday, May 15, 2022, you will need to download the West Michigan Credit Union Mobile App and delete your Western Districts Members Credit Union Mobile App. You can activate your account by using either Online Banking OR the Mobile App. If using the mobile app, your username would be your new account number and your password would be the last 4 digits of your social security number. If you have activated your account using the Mobile App, you will still be prompted to change your password and set your three security questions. Once activation is complete, you may use the multi-factor authentication options.

Download West Michigan Credit Union's Mobile App in your phone's designated app store; the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

New Account Number Reminder:
From May 14, 2022 on, your account number will become an eight (8) digit number. Member numbers will begin with the number one (1) and have additional zeros (0) to form the full eight (8) digit number. As an example, member number 99999 would become 10099999.

If you are in need of additional assistance with your new account number format, please visit your local branch and speak with a Member Service Representative.

 

Upcoming Bill Payment Changes

On May 14, 2022, your current Bill Payment with WDMCU will no longer be active. Your current Bill Payment will not transfer over to West Michigan Credit Union during conversion and you will need to re-enroll. To ensure that all of your recurring payments are made on time, be sure to enroll and set up your new Bill Pay within Online Banking on May 15, 2022 or shortly after.

Your payees will need to be added manually. It is important that you take time to document all current payees in your Bill Pay to make your enrollment as seamless as possible. Correct documentation will help you in entering all of your payees correctly after enrollment.
