New Mobile App FAQ’s

As of August 9, 2018 West Michigan Credit Union has a new mobile app with remote deposit.  Our old app and remote deposit will be unavailable starting Monday, September 10, 2018.

Here are some FAQ’s to ensure a smooth transition:

Q: Will my app automatically update or will I have to download a new app?

A: For Apple device users, your phone may automatically update the app on its own.  If your settings require you to update the app manually, you will need to go to your setting to update your app.

For Android device users, the app was unable to be automatically updated.  You will need to delete the old app and then download our new app.

Q: How do I know if I have the new app?

Q: Do I have to re-enroll in Remote Deposit?

A: Yes, however this process is much easier than enrolling in our previous remote deposit!  All you will have to do is click “move money” > “deposit check” > use your online banking log-in information > Click “Register”.

Q: How do I set up multi-factor authentication (fingerprint log-in, etc.)?

A: Once you’re in the app, click “more” in the bottom right corner and then “settings and info”.  After that, you’ll want to click “authentication options” and can set up as many or as few options as you would like.  You can choose from voice recognition, pin, online banking login, fingerprint, or face recognition.

Q: What version does my phone need to be on to use this app?

A: Apple devices must be on iOS 9.0 or later.  Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.  Android versions must be on: 5.0 and later.  Please contact your phone provider for help on updating your phone to its latest version.
