How to Use Online Banking

Published August 27, 2024

As your schedule fills with back-to-school activities and holiday plans, it is essential to have access to your banking information at home or on the go! Learn how you utilize our banking e-Services to become more independent and gain more control over your banking experience.

Our e-Service options are designed for ease of use, convenience and rapid results. While we love seeing our members in our branch, we recognize the importance of being able to access your account while we’re closed, when you’re on the go, or when you’d just rather be hanging out on your couch at home.

We’ve outlined our eServices and how they can fit your lifestyle, schedule, and needs.

Online Banking

Save time by accessing your account on the go with Online Banking! It’sMe247 allows for you to view your account balances and transactions, as well as make transfers and loan payments using the funds available in your account.

You can open new sub-share accounts while logged into Online Banking. This tool is a great way to track and verify your transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and if certain checks have cleared.

Online Banking also allows you to calculate loan payments for different amounts, rates, and terms. Change your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and update your address at your fingertips.

Mobile App

Our Mobile App lets you take Online Banking on the go! Using our newly updated Mobile App, you can set up activity alerts and manage your cards using card controls. You can also access your account, make transfers, view eStatements, and locate our branches.

The new message center allows you to review and move important alerts and notices. Our Mobile App gives you the ability to remotely deposit checks from anywhere, providing you with convenience and saving you time! The Mobile App has multiple authentication options to keep your account safe and protected.

Digital Wallet

A digital wallet is a contactless payment method that can store a digital version of your physical wallet, including your WMCU debit and credit card. By adding your card details to your digital wallet, you won't need your physical card to make in-store and online purchases. Adding your West Michigan CU debit and credit cards to your digital wallet on your phone or smartwatch makes using your WMCU account safe, secure, and simply better.

At checkout, hold your phone or smartwatch near the card reader and a subtle vibration or beep will confirm your payment has been successful. Always keep in mind, not every merchant accepts digital wallet payments. It's important to still keep a physical backup payment option.

Your WMCU debit and credit cards can be added to Apple Pay™, Google Pay™, and Samsung Pay™. Your digital wallet can also securely store loyalty cards, gift cards and digital concert or travel tickets. Please follow your manufacturer’s instructions.

Digital wallets also keep your card's information protected. When you pay for something, instead of sending your actual credit or debit card number to the merchant, the digital wallet generates a one-time-use token made up of random numbers. That token is what’s used to process the payment, keeping your personal information secure.
