Planting trees with each new account opened!

At WMCU, we’ve always focused on doing what’s best for people in our communities, and helping them thrive financially. So, it made sense to help our environment thrive too. As part of our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, for every new WMCU account opened, we've been planting trees in a forest of great need in Michigan.

If you think about it, trees are kind of amazing. They are important to our environment and they enrich our lives in so many ways. They not only help reduce the effects of climate change by capturing excess carbon, but they also:

• Provide habitat for wildlife
• Support our health and well-being
• Clean our air and water-helping us breathe easier
• Beautify and cool our communities
• Help nurture biodiversity and endangered species thrive
• Provide a buffer against extreme weather
• Reduce the effects of deforestation
