For every new account opened at WMCU, a tree will be planted in Michigan thanks to our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.

We're also your neighbors, and our members are local business owners, professionals, and families in the West Michigan area. Together, we fuel the local economy and help each other prosper. According to the research firm Civic Economics, “when West Michigan consumers choose a locally owned business over a non-local alternative, 73% more money stays in the community.” That translates into a better economy, more jobs, and higher wages!

We help raise money for local not-for-profits, provide financial education options, and love to support community events and organizations like The Land Conservancy of West Michigan, Women's Resource Center of Grand Rapids, and Reed City Public Schools & Little Leagues.
