As of April 1, 2025, we are merged with Bloom Credit Union, A Division of WMCU. Both organizations will continue to serve members as they are now, keeping their individual names. West Michigan Credit Union is now “West Michigan Credit Union, A Division of WMCU.”
What will be changing for our membership?
With the emphasis of this transition focusing on improvements, you will see a few things that are changing, including:
- New Mobile App Name & Icon
- New Bill Pay Option
- Business Loans
- New Interest Rates & Fees
What won't be changing for our membership?
While a few things may be changing, many things will remain the same:
- Service: The same friendly West Michigan CU team members will
be available to help you during this transition. - Member Numbers: Your membership numbers will NOT change.
- Debit/ATM, Credit Cards and Checks: You can continue to use
your current West Michigan CU Debit/ATM cards, credit cards,
and checks as usual.
Together, we look forward to helping you bloom towards a simply better financial future, now with deeper roots in the community and even greater opportunities for growth!

New Mobile App Icon & Look
Mobile banking will continue to be the same user-friendly app you’re used to, just with a few small changes:
• New name & icon (see above)
Our mobile app can be accessed from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Simply search for “WMCU” to find the app.
Switch to New Bill Pay to Receive $10
A new bill pay system will be introduced on April 1, giving you a more user-friendly interface for paying your bills. The platform provides for new technology accessible in both the mobile app and browser-based online banking, as well as increased ability for West Michigan CU team members to assist you with any problems you may have.
When you switch your Bill Pay to the new platform between April 1 and April 30, 2025, we’ll transfer $10 into your account.

Now Offering Business Loans & Services
West Michigan CU now offers a broad range of financial services for small businesses, including loan services. You’ll get personal service from someone you know, and the convenience of having all of your financial services at one organization.

Giving Tree Books
We partnered with Giving Tree Books to help every child in West Michigan have a book to call their own. In March, we visited Harrison Park Academy in Grand Rapids and donated over 400 new elementary-level books to their students. Our team will be visiting four additional elementary schools across West Michigan throughout the year. We will be collecting monetary donations at all of our locations to continue supporting Giving Tree Books’ mission of promoting children’s literacy in under-resourced communities in Michigan.
